Akkineni Nagarjuna’s style in his fifties is intact and proves to be ever green like his father Akkineni Nageswara Rao and that is the reason why he has a good fan following. Ever since the movie Bhai was announced, his fans have been looking for its release. Today it is released and here are the details of what you can expect in the movie.
Story
Bhai Movie Starting with David (Ashish Vidyarthini) lives in Hong Kong. Bhai (Nagarjuna) is the Most trusted person for David. David disappoints his Sons James (Sonu Sood) and Tony (Ajay) and they starts Hating Bhai. Later, An undercover operation starts to stop David’s operations in Hyderabad. Bhai goes to Hyderabad to kill the Cop and he meets Richa there. Later, Richa falls in love with Bhai.remaining seen on silver screen

Analysis :
If you are looking for good plot or a different story Bhai is definitely not the right pick. Even a great fan may lose patience in the love scenes with Richa. Father- son, brother-sister and brother-brother sentiments are not pictured rightly.
All the effort the director Veerabhadram made was to give a rich look and focus more on the hero as if it is his debut film of Nagarjuna.
Apart from a small turn in the story, Brahmanandam’s comedy and first song there is not much to expect in the movie. All it is having is a routine stuff and dull pace.

Performance :
As written earlier the sole purpose of the movie seems to make it a show case for Nagarjuna’s acting talent. Excepting the role of Brahmanandam’s comedy role, nobody else is given proper importance in the script that made it difficult to show their worth. Richa and Sonu Sood were wasted along with many other actors. But as the scope is given to full extent to Nag, he acted very well as usual in fights and sentiments, making punches with dialogues and dancing.

Positive (+) :

Nagarjuna looks good and nice style
Sonu Sood performances Highlight
Richa Gangopadhya Glamour
Back Ground Score and Songs are good

Negative (-) :

Poor Story
Poor dialogue delivery and Action.
Boring Comedy Scenes
Shaking dances
Brahmanandam and MS Naryana Not plus for this movie
Funny visual effects

Final Word: If you are a fan of Nagarjuna and want to see him on the screen better go to one of his old movies instead of watching Bhai and repent for it. If you want to watch a good movie during the weekend, Bhai is certain to disappoint you. If you don’t watch it, you will not miss anything but rather be saved from a bad taste in the mouth.

Doosukeltha Movie Review

Movie name:      Doosukeltha
Director:              Veeru Potla
Starring:             Manchu Vishnu, Lavanya Tripathi, Brahmanandam, Vennela Kishore
Music director: Mani Sharma
Producer:             Manchu Vishnu
Release date:    Oct 17th 2013
Rating:                 3/5

Synopsis :

Doosulektha movie comes along the comedy track formula set by Srinu Vaitla. The movie entertains audience from the word go and pulls off well through the end impressing the family audience too and is a full meal offer for all comedy lovers, and worth the ticket price.

Doosukeltha  :-

The movie takes off under village back drop wherein a landlord (Kota) declines to welcome his brother’s son Sarveswara Rao (Rao Ramesh) because he comes after a long time to join the family. Sarveswara Rao comes home with his wife and little one Chinni (Alekhya, played by Lavanya).
Chinni stumbles upon Chinna (Vishnu) at school. Chinna is a brat but intends to help Chinni (her family) and engages a challenge with Kota’s grandson Pichcheswara Rao. The deal was that whosoever loses the challenge shall leave the place for 13 years. Even though the grandson loses Chinna’s father who’s a small farmer in the village anticipates the danger to his son and family from the landlord leaves the town. At this same time Chinni and her parents will be thrown out of the house by the landlord. Chinni goes into prejudiced thinking that Chinna was the reason for their grandfather to send them off the house.
Now after 12 years Chinna is a grown up dude on look out for a job and engages a deal with one TV channel director (Posani Krishna Murali) to go to minister’s house for shooting video. He sets off on the mission but escapes hurt in the mission and Alekhya (Chinni) rescues him. Our dude will start liking Alekhya and even saves her from being killed. Will Chinna and Chinni get to know of their past, will Chinna help Chinni’s family reunite with the landlord in the village form the rest of the story.

Performances:

Manchu Vishnu: This dude has matured a lot in the recent times and he knows now how to portray his strengths. Coming to dances he has stretched far and has raised bars. Undoubtedly he had essayed his role with so much ease and elan. Bottom line is that he doesn’t dominate or overshadow other characters but played like a fabulous glue sticking all of the pieces together.
Lavanya Tripathi: If there is any weakness in the movie it is this girl. She neither had good screen presence not could emote good chemistry with Vishnu. The sooner she realizes the better for her.
Brahmanandam: By now, these type of roles have become cake walk to this comedy master. As we would expect he excelled in the Veera Brahmam role and takes the lion share in rendering laughter riot to the audience. From the word go, Veera Brahmam springs into action tickling the ribs of the audience.
Kota: He is another actor who pulls off his character with so much ease making acting look so damn natural, just one more day for a seasoned artist like him.
Vennela Kishore, Bharat and Hema justified their inclusions in the comedy department.
Rao Ramesh looked and did good as Lavanya’s father.
My Analysis:
Veeru Potla, the young man at the helm had his script by heart and so has executed it with ease. Screenplay was remarkable and there are no forced fight or song sequences. He has use right blend of characters at right time and his directional skills are sensible and story execution was neat.
But hei, when all seemed so well and on track you’d see some illogical fights, I mean we know movie means fiction but come on should there be limit to that fiction?
Ali’s role surprises, was he taken for just titles sake?
And the much awaited Manchu Lakshmi’s role disappoints everyone. Come on for some few seconds of her on screen presence so mucha hype? We know Vishnu needs a break and Lakshmi’s inclusion seems a publicity gimmick.

Plus points:
Comedy
Comedy
Comedy

Flaws:
Illogical fights

Behind the Screen (Technical):
As for the technical departments, editing can be sharper and so is the camera work that’s below par. But dialogues compensate for all these deficits.
Mani Sharma’s compositions as well as the background music aren’t par with his standards and if you know him you realize that they have not come from seasoned music director like Mani sir.

Final Touch:
Doosulektha is no new story to the Telugu audience and follows the same lines of Srinu Vaitla’s formulaic comedy. Veeru Potla has the knack to pull this off so well and so entertaining from the first frame through the last. This serves as a buffet meal to the comedy movie enthusiasts. Go, hit the theaters and you won’t be disappointed!

Ramayya Vastavayya - Movie Review

Rating: 2.75/5
Banner: Sri Venkateshwara Creations

Mukesh Rishi, Ravi Shankar, Rao Ramesh,
 Kota, Ajay, Rohini Hattangadi,
Tanikella Bharani and others
Music: Thaman
Cinematographer: Chota K Naidu
Editor: Gautham Raju
Director: Harish Shankar
Producer: Dil Raju
Release date: 11/10/2013

 Story

Nandu (Jr NTR) and his group of friends are happy go lucky guys and he gets struck when he sees Akarsha (Samantha). From thereon, he tries all ways to impress her and finally manages to do that. He is invited for Akarsha’s sister marriage and there he meets her father (Mukesh Rishi) who is going through a series of life threats and other issues from hidden enemies. Nandu comes forward and offers to help. However, there is a motive behind Nandu’s help and what happens from there forms the rest of the story

Performances

Junior NTR is the life and soul for this film. He has excelled in every department and few expressions of his in certain scenes are really absorbing. Of course, the quota of his punch dialogues is less. Samantha looks cute with her somewhat plastic shaping but more than that, she has put on few kilos which has upped her sex appeal and oomph factor. As a role, it wasn’t much but she did her job as required. Shruti Haasan looked a little misfit for her role. Added to that, her dubbing was not that effective. Barring the one song she did and her last scene, rest of the times her makeup and dressing were not proper. Ravi Shankar was superb. His dialogue delivery, body language and expressions showed the much needed menacing effect. Though he arrives at a later stage he managed to grab attention in a big way. Mukesh Rishi got a significant role and made his presence felt, few powerful dialogues for him would have given a good result. Kota was brief but brilliant. Rao Ramesh was elegant. Rohini Hattangadi was a miscast. Tanikella was neat. The group of friends for NTR brought some light moments.
